Andrew Hitt

Andrew Hitt was the Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW) in 2020 and acted as one of the ten fake electors in Wisconsin. He is a 2007 graduate of Marquette University Law School and a partner at Michael Best Strategies LLC and Senior Counsel at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, where he works on government and regulatory law.

Hitt served as Chair of the fake electors meeting, signed the transmittal letter included with the fake electors’ votes, and helped convey the fake votes to Washington, D.C..

Over two years ago, Law Forward filed a complaint requesting an investigation with the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation. That remains unresolved.

Hitt continues to practice law at Michael Best & Friedrich in Wisconsin; his law license is active and in good standing. He is no longer the Chairman of the RPW. On February 28, 2022, he testified about his and others’ role in the fake electors scheme to the January 6 Select Committee in response to a subpoena.
