Darryl Carlson
Darryl Carlson joined the other nine fake electors in meeting on December 14, 2020, and purported to cast electoral ballots for Donald Trump even though he had by then definitively lost the election. All ten electors were named as defendants in Penebaker v. Hitt. As part of their settlement with the plaintiffs, which was finalized December 1, 2023, they all officially repudiated their role in the fake-elector scheme, filed paperwork withdrawing their fake electoral ballots, and agreed never to serve as an elector in an election with Donald Trump on the ballot, nor to engage again in a fake-elector scheme. They also agreed to participate in any ongoing civil or criminal prosecutions of others involved in the fake-elector scheme.
Carlson was an unsuccessful candidate for the GOP nomination for Wisconsin Assembly District 27 in 2014 and was the Chairman of the 6th Congressional District GOP in 2020.
